It may be my last World Cup – ´Realistic´ Pogba determined to reign in Russia

Paul Pogba wants to help France win the 2018 World Cup as he is realistic  over the possibility of never playing in the tournament again.

The Manchester United midfielder has helped Les Bleus record wins over Australia and Peru in Russia, sending them through to the last 16 with a game to spare in Group C.

However, Didier Deschamps side have yet to dazzle ahead of their clash with second-place Denmark on Tuesday, with Pogba s performances once again coming under intense media scrutiny.

However, having missed out on glory on home soil at Euro 2016, where France lost to Portugal in the final, the 25-year-old is less interested in what his critics have to say and instead focused only on making sure France lift the trophy on July 15.

Silva, though, remains confident that new arrivals will be at the club before the start of the new Premier League season.

We have to do it. It s something we have to do,  he told the Liverpool Echo.

Pompey administrator says FA Cup spot safe

Andrew Andronikou, the administrator of cash-strapped crisis club Portsmouth, insisted Tuesday there was no danger of the south coast side being kicked out of this season s FA Cup.

Portsmouth, who won the FA Cup in 2008, reached the semi-finals after beating Premier League rivals Birmingham City 2-0 at Fratton Park last weekend and are set to face the winners of the all-London quarter-final replay between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham in the last four at Wembley.

However, Football Association rules state that clubs who enter administration will have their participation in the FA Cup re-assessed.
