The Italian striker is set to arrive in Bergamo to undergo a medical and finalise his move according to the Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
Paloschi will work under Atalanta new coach Gian Piero Gasperini who was appointed this week.
The 26-year-old Italian began his career at Milan, but has also played for Atalanta and Genoa before moving to Chievo in 2011.
